Arctic Rays is certainly a unique fiber. Just from first glance you can see this thread is different from anything else you'll find to stitch with! Take a look at the photo above. You will see that Arctic Rays is covered with long lengths of wispy fringe. Unlike many other fuzzy threads Arctic Rays is made of 100% Nylon in Italy. Because it is a synthetic fiber it comes in incredible and bright colors. Because of the long wisps on the thread, Arctic Rays should be one of the last threads you add to your project. This is because you don't want to run the risk of pulling the threads into other sections of your stitching. We also recommend working with shorter lengths of this thread. (8-10 inches for example). But where would you want to use it on a canvas? Think flowers, hair, beards, grass, scarves or even fur. The glistening effect of this yarn is more pronounced with long stitches, as less of the fringe is pulled into the canvas.
